Nicholson Blown Glass Nicholson Blown Glass is one-of-kind, free-blown glass art by Rick and Janet Nicholson. The Nicholsons work out of a small, intimate studio in the Sierra Foothills of California. For almost 25 years, they have been married and working together as Nicholson Blown Glass in 1999. Rick is the master glassblower, while Janet creates new designs and blends new colors. The Nicholsons emphasize creativity and innovation in all of their work. Each creation has a unique shape and blending of colors that cannot and will not be repeated. Their glass is represented nationally and internationally in galleries and private and corporate collections. Trained in glass at the University of Southern California and the Pilchuck School, the Nicholsons' dedication to glassblowing is evident in the excellent quality of their work. Each piece is a free-hand expression of the excitement and risk-taking found only in a small, experimental studio. The Nicholsons hope that their art will enrich the homes of people who appreciate the creativity and attention to detail so often overlooked in the fast-paced world of mass marketing. |
